ich habe mich eingehender mit Präsentationen beschäftigen wollen und hatte mir daher mehrere Bücher zum Thema bestellt. Ich persönlich fand das Buch von Garr Reynolds für meine Zwecke besser. Slide:ology würde ich eher einem professionellen Ersteller von Präsentationen empfehlen, für den Einstieg und Basis-Wissen dann eher presentationzen.
In diesem Buch steht nicht Powerpoint und seine Features im Mittelpunkt, sondern wie man Präsentationen an sich erstellen kann, wie man Text in Grafik umwandelt und was man alles mal ausprobieren sollte und kann. Sehr hilfreich. Vier Sterne weil für mich das ein oder andere doch zu viel des Guten ist. Ich bin bei Präsentationen eher sparsam mit Animation, Grafik usw..

This book changed my thinking about what a slide presentation is really for. I still skim it before starting any important slide deck.It's an easy read with lots of visuals and a great book to have on the shelf.
Das Buch beantwortet Fragen der Gestaltung (Layout, Typographie, Grafik, Präsentation vs Dokument, ...), und die beantwortet es gut und gibt einen guten Überblick und Einstieg in *schöne* PräsentationenFragen zum Aufbau, der Erzählstruktur einer "great presentation", einer großartigen Präsentation werden jedoch weniger Thematisiert. Wer danach sucht wird mit Nancy Duartes anderem Buch, "Resonate: Present Visual Stories that Transform Audiences" glücklich.
Ein Buch, das sicherlich mehr Leute lesen sollte. Es zeigt anschaulich und mit Tipps, wie Präsentationen besser genutzt werden können, um Menschen zu bewegen und die richtigen Sachen zu kommunizieren.
Slide:ology spricht die wesentlichen Elemente der Vorbereitung und des Aufbaus einer Präsentation an. Wissenschaftler und Ingenieure finden hier viele Anregungen, um die in technisch orientierten Vorträgen häufig etwas langweiligen Präsentationen interessanter zu gestalten. Sicher sind viele Anregungen zur Gestaltung von Seiten durch den Leser für seine Präsentationen nicht direkt umsetzbar aber Anregungen über eigene Stilelemente nachzudenken.
Ich habe mich sehr auf das Lesen dieses Buches gefreut und als E-book downgeloaded. Mein Ergebnis - das e-book hat die schlechteste Performace die ich bisher gesehen habe. Die Seite ist NICHT fullscreen lesbar durch das Format. Markieren NICHT möglich. Der Inhalt ist okay, keinesfalls elektronisch kaufen!
